Birthday sewing

I made another cloak, this one for my son's fifth birthday.  He really wanted his own cloak so that he can play the hero.  I used the same pattern that I used for my niece last month.  I made both cloaks different to suit each child.  His was made from blue linen look fabric and lined with grey flannel.

I added a fancy stitch that my machine can make to all the edges.

I used a hook closure.
Have a creative week,
Janelle

Boy, does this take me back. In 1984 my son was 4 and superman was the big thing and he just had to have a cape. I made him one out of blue felt--not nearly as nice as yours is, but he was ecstatic about it. Love you site and have become a follower so that I can pop in often.
