Hello Dolly and Lifebook

I finally finished my paint over collage Lifebook page.  I did put so much paint on that the collage doesn't show very much anymore, but I will do better next time.

I finally have pictures of one of the outfits that I altered for Hello Dolly.  Most of the work I have done has been handwork so it took me awhile to finish this one.  We chose dresses for this musical out of the ones that were available and then altered them to get the look.  This is no where close to authentic, but when everybody is on stage they will all look great together.
The first two pictures are what I started with.

These pictures show the alterations that I made.

This is a small bustle.

Oh Wow! That's very impressive altering! I was in drama my whole childhood - I wish I had someone with your skills to help me back then, lol!
AND your LB page is great - it's cool that's it all got covered up - you will know all the layers are there ;)
That's the project I'm gonna do next . . . wish me luck! xoxo

Hi Janelle! Thank you for stopping by my blog. I was so afraid everyone would forget me. Love your LB paint-over collage. It's o.k. to paint over whatever you want to. I always figure that those collage bits are there to inspire you, not be the painting.
And your alterations - what a fantastic creation! I used to sew when I was younger but now it just seems to intimidate me a bit.
I enjoyed going back and looking at your book of days spreads and your fab placemats! Ain't creativity grand?
